In State vs. xyz (FIR No. 442/2024, PS Saket), the Mahila Court, Saket, presided by Ms. Chhaya Tyagi (JMFC-02), granted no objection for renewal of the applicant’s passport for 10 years under the Passport Act, 1967. The Court observed that while it cannot direct the Passport Authority to renew a passport, it may issue a “no objection” as per the Delhi High Court’s rulings in Prashant Bhushan v. UOI and Deepak Jain v. UOI.
