In the case of xyz vs. abc (FIR No. 30/2009), the Mahila Court, Dwarka, acquitted the accused—xyz (husband) of the charge under Section 498A IPC and xyz (mother-in-law) of the charge under Section 406 IPC—on 10.01.2025. The court after 13 year of trial, found significant contradictions in the complainant’s testimony, lack of independent evidence, and absence of proof regarding dowry demands or misappropriation of stridhan. It held that the prosecution failed to establish the charges beyond reasonable doubt and granted the accused persons acquittal. The husband in 16 years of legal battle due to relentless efforts by Tripaksha Litigation, has been granted divorce, acquitted of criminal charges in the present case and Case under PWDV Act has been dismissed yet the wife continues to abuse and misuse the process of law and women-centric laws by instituting Appeals and Revisions to harass and torture the Husband and his family members.
