By order dated 29.05.2026, the Ld. ASJ/SFTC-02 (Central), Tis Hazari Courts, Delhi granted regular bail to the applicant/accused, xyz, in FIR No. 421/2025 registered at P.S. Burari under Sections 69/209 BNS.
It was submitted that the allegations arose out of a consensual relationship and that the FIR was lodged only after the applicant had filed a prior complaint alleging blackmail and extortion against the prosecutrix and her family. It was further highlighted that the investigation stood concluded, chargesheet had already been filed without arrest, and the applicant had cooperated throughout without any allegation of misuse of liberty or tampering with evidence.
It was also noted that the applicant had remained on interim bail after filing of the chargesheet, had regularly appeared before the Court, and had complied with all directions during the pendency of proceedings.
Considering that the investigation was complete, the applicant had not been arrested at any stage, and no apprehension under the settled bail parameters was made out, the Court held that no useful purpose would be served by taking him into custody and accordingly granted regular bail, subject to conditions.
